[narrated by A’isha (radiAllahu anhu) – ibn Majah; #3810]

All of my sins

Allahumma inni asaluka ya Allahu bi annakal  Wahidul Ahadus-Samadul ladhi, lam ya-lid wa lam youlad, wa lam  yakullahu kufuwan Ahad, an taghfirali dhunoobi innaka Antal Ghafūūrur  Raheem

O Allah!  I ask You, O Allah, You  are the One, the Only, Self Sufficient Master, who was not begotten and begets  not and non is equal to Him.  Forgive me my sins, surely you are Forgiving,  Merciful.
[Abu Dawud, an Nasa’i, ibn Majah, at Tirmidhi]

O Allah! Guide us among those You guide

Allahumma min jamee’i dhunubi wal khataaya, wa natubu ilaik

O Allah! Guide us among those You guide. Grant us health and pardon among those You grant health and pardon, look after us among those You look after, grant us grace in what You have given us, and protect us from the evil of what you have ordained; for You decree and none decrees against You, and none is abased whom You befriend. And none is exalted whom You are at enmity with. O our Lord, who is above all things sacred and exalted, all praise is Yours for what you decree. I ask Your forgiveness and turn to You in repentance
[Also known as the Qunut al-Nazila; if a major disaster or difficulty befalls on the ummah, this du’a is recommeded to be recited. [recorded in ahadith — it is the Qunut du’a]]

O Allah! make me among those who, when they commit an act of virtue, rejoice

Allahumaj’alna minal ladhina idha ahsanu estabasharu, wa idha asa’u es-taghfaru

O Allah! make me among those who, when they commit an act of virtue, rejoice; and when they commit a mistake, seek forgiveness
[narrated by A’isha (radiAllahu anhu) – ibn Majah; #3810]

O Allah! Forgive my sins

O Allah! Forgive my sins, expel my Shaytan, and redeem my pledge. Make my scales heavy and make me from among the highest class (in the Hereafter)
[narrated by abu al-Azhar al-Anmari (radiAllahu anhu) – abu Dawud; #4395]

Sayyid al-Istighfar – Master supplication for forgiveness

O Allah! You are my Lord! None has the right to be worshipped but You. You created me and I am Your slave, and I am faithful to my covenant and my promise as much as I can. I seek refuge with You from all the evil I have done. I acknowledge before You all the blessings You have bestowed upon me, and I confess to You all my sins. So I entreat You to forgive my sins, for nobody can forgive sins except You.[sahih al-Bukhari; 8,75,318, at-Tirmidhi; 3393, an-Nasa’i; 5522, Ahmad; 16662]

Shaddad ibn Aws (radiAllahu anhu) relates that the Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) said that he (Sayyid al-Istighfar) most superior way of asking for forgiveness from Allah is to say (the above du’a). That “If somebody recites it during the day with firm faith in it, and dies on the same day before the evening, he will be from the people of Paradise; and if somebody recites it at night with firm faith in it, and dies before the morning, he will be from the people of Paradise.”
