[3 times – in the morning]

Praise be to Allah Who gave Strength to my body

Alhamdu lillahil-ladhi aafaani fi jasadi, wa radda ‘alaiyya ruhee, wa ‘adhina li bidhikriki

Praise be to Allah Who gave Strength to my body and returned my soul to me and permitted me to remember Him.

[Morning]

Allah is sufficient for me

Allah is sufficient for me. There is none worthy of worship but Him.

I have placed my trust in Him, and He is the lord of the Majestic Throne.

[Allah will Grant whoeer recites this 7 times in the morning or evening whatever he desires from this world or the next]

[ibn as-Sunni 71, abu Dawud 4:321]

Unto Him is the Return

Praise be to Allah Who gives us life after He has caused us to die and unto Him is the return

Upon waking up

[Sahih al-Bukhari]

Our Lord! Bestow on us endurance

“Rabbana afrigh ‘alayna sabran wa  thabbit aqdamana wansurna ‘alal-qawmil-kafirin.”

“Our Lord! Bestow on us endurance, make our  foothold sure, and give us help against the disbelieving folk”
[surah al-Baqarah 2:250]

Allah is my Lord

Allah Allah rabbi la ushriku bihi shay’an

Allah Allah is my Lord, I do not associate anything with Him

[abu Dawud, 2/87, Sahih ibn Majah 2/335]

The Quran

Allaahumm arhamna bil-Qur’aani waj`alhu lana imaaman wa nooran wa hudan wa rahma(tan).
Allaahumma inna `abeeduka, banu `beedika, banu imaa’ika, nawaaseena biyadik, maadhin feena hukmuk, `adlun feena qadhaa’uk. Nas’aluka bikull ismin huwa laka sammyata bihi nafsak, aw anzaltahu fi kitaabik, aw `allamtahu ahadan min khalqik, aw ista’tharta bihi fi `ilm-il ghaybi `indak, an taj`al Al-Qur’aan Al-`azheema rabee`a quloobina, wa noora sudoorina, wa jalaa’a ahzaanina, wa zhahaaba humoomina wa ghumoomina. Allaahumma `allimna minhu ma jahilna, wa zhakkirna minhu ma naseena, warzuqna tilaawatahu aanaa’-allayli wa atraaf an-nahaari `alal wajh illazhi yurdheeka `anna, waj`alhu lana hujjatan ya Rabbal-`Aalameen, bi rahmatika ya Arham Arraahimeen.

O God, grace us with the Quran and make it for us a leader, a light, a guidance and a mercy.
O God, we are Your servants, sons of Your servant men, sons of Your servant women, applied to us is Your judgment, fair to us is Your decree. We ask You by every Attribute of Yourself which You called Yourself, or revealed in Your Book, or taught any of Your creation, or kept exclusively in the knowledge of the Beyond with You, that You make the Quran the spring of our hearts, the light of our bosoms, the expelling of our sadness, and the taking away of our worries and depression. O God, teach us of it what we have not learned, remind us of what we forgot of it, and grant us its recitation during the depths of the night and the edges of the day, in the manner that pleases You, and make it for us a supporting argument, O Lord of the worlds, by Your grace, O Most Merciful of the merciful.

The Right Path

Allahummaj ‘alni miman tawwakala ‘alaika,  fakafait-tahu wastahdaka fahadaittahu wastansaraka fanasaratahu

(O Allah! Let us be among those who had  complete trust in Thee; so You sufficed them; and they sought guidance from  Thee; so You directed them to the right Path; and they asked help of Thee; so  You assisted them.)
