O Allah, I seek Your refuge (protection) from your displeasure


اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِرِضَاكَ مِنْ سَخَطِكَ وَبِمُعَافَاتِكَ مِنْ عُقُوبَتِكَ وَأَعُوذَ بِكَ مِنْكَ لَا أُحْصِي ثَنَاءً عَلَيْكَ أَنْتَ كَمَا أَثْنَيْتَ عَلَى نَفْسِكَ

O Allah, I seek Your refuge (protection) from your displeasure through Your pleasure

and from Your punishment with forgiveness.

I seek refuge from all calamities and punishments.

I have no words to Praise You as You have praised Yourself

At the time of heavy winds


اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهَا رَحْمَةً وَلَا تَجْعَلْهَا عَذَابَاً اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهَا رِيَاحَاً وَلَا تَجْعَلْهَا رِيحَاً

“O Allah, let it be a mercy and not a punishment. O Allah make it a beneficial and not a destructive wind”.

(Mishkat)

If there is a darkness with the heavy wind, recite Surah Falaq and Surah Naas. (Mishkat)

When tired of life


Due to difficulty death is sought but one should never pray for death instead pray this:

اللَّهُمَّ أَحْيِنِي مَا كَانَتِ الْحَيَاةُ خَيْرٌ لِي وَتَوَفَّنِي إِذَا كَانَتِ الْوَفَاةُ خَيْرَاً لِي

“O Allah keep me alive as long as life is good for me and when death is better for me lift me”.

Upon Fearing Someone


اللهم انا نجعلك في نحورهم ونعوذ بك من شرورهم

‘Allahumma inna naj’aluka fee nuhoorihim wa na’udhu bika min shuroorihim.’

(Oh Allah, we ask You to restrain them by their necks and we seek refuge in You from their evil.) (AD & Ns)

The dearest words to Allah


The dearest words to Allah are four

سُبْحَانَ اللهِ

‘SubhanAllah’

(Glory be to Allah)

الْحَمْدُ لله

‘Alhamdulillah’

(Praise be to Allah)

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا الله

‘La ilaha illallah’

(There is no god but Allah)

اللهُ أَكْبَر

Allahu Akbar 

(Allah is the Greatest)
