O Allah, I ask You for knowledge which is beneficial

Allahumma innee as-aluka Eilman nafiAAan,

warizqan tayyiban, waAAamalan mutaqabbalan.

(after salam from fajr prayer).

O Allah, I ask You for knowledge which is beneficial

and sustenance which is good, and deeds which are acceptable.’

(To be said after giving salam for the fajr prayer)

None has the right to be worshipped except Allah

La ilaha illa Allah wahdahu la shareeka lah, lahul-mulku walahul-hamd,

youhyee wayumeet, wahuwa AAala kulli shayin qadeer.

‘None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, without partner, to Him belongs all sovereignty and praise,
He gives life and causes death and He is over all things omnipotent.’

(ten times after the maghrib and fajr prayers)

At the time of difficulty when Sleeping

“O Allah the stars have gone far away and the eyes are rested.

You are Alive and Infinite, You do not slumber nor does sleep overtake You.

Oh Alive and the Everlasting One, grant me rest tonight and let my eyes sleep (close).

(Hisnul Hasin)

Before rising from a gathering

“O Allah, You are pure, I praise You and testify that there is none worthy of worship besides You. I seek forgiveness and pardon from You”.

If there was good talk in the gathering, this dua will seal it and if there was futile and vain talk, then this dua will recompense for it.

(Tirmidhi Targib)

Our Lord! Forgive us our sins

Our Lord! Forgive us our sins and expiate from us our evil deeds, and make us die (in the state of righteousness) along with Al-Abrar” (the pious believers of Islamic Monotheism). (3:193)

“Our Lord! Verily, whom You admit to the Fire, indeed, You have disgraced him

“Our Lord! Verily, whom You admit to the Fire, indeed, You have disgraced him, and never will the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers) find any helpers.”(3:192)
