O Allah! Make easy for me every difficult thing

Allahumma Oltuf bi fi taysiri kulli ‘aseer, fainna taysirra kuuli ‘aseerin ‘alaika yasser

O Allah!  Make easy for me every difficult thing, with Your special favor and Kindness, for it is easy for You to make every difficult thing easy

There is no god but Allah

There is no god but Allah, the All-Powerful, the Forbearing; there is no god but Allah, Lord of the mighty Throne; there is no god but Allah, Lord of heaven, Lord of earth, and Lord of the noble Throne.

[Sahih al-Bukhari, 8/154, Muslim, 4/2092]
Ibn Abbas (ra) reported that when the Prophet (saws) felt distressed he would say (the above)

Our Lord! Condemn us not if we forget or fall into error

Rabbana wala tuham-milna mala taqata-lana beh.  Wa’fu-‘anna, waghfir-lana war hamna, Anta maulana fansurna ‘alal qawmil kaafireen

Our Lord! Condemn us not if we forget or fall into error; our Lord!  Lay not on us a burden like that which Thou didst lay on those before us;  Our Lord! lay not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear.  Blot out our sins, and grant us forgiveness.  Have mercy on us, Thou art our Protector; Help us against those who stand against Faith
[surah al-Baqarah; 2:286]

O Allah! Forgive my sins

O Allah! Forgive my sins, expel my Shaytan, and redeem my pledge. Make my scales heavy and make me from among the highest class (in the Hereafter)
[narrated by abu al-Azhar al-Anmari (radiAllahu anhu) – abu Dawud; #4395]

O Allah! make me among those who, when they commit an act of virtue

Allahumaj ‘alna minal ladhina idha ahsanus tabasharti, wa idha asa’us-taghfaru

O Allah! make me among those who, when they commit an act of virtue, rejoice; and when they commit a mistake, seek forgiveness
[narrated by A’isha (radiAllahu anhu) – ibn Majah; #3810]

Sayyid al-Istighfar – Master supplication for forgiveness

O Allah! You are my Lord! None has the right to be worshipped but You. You created me and I am Your slave, and I am faithful to my covenant and my promise as much as I can. I seek refuge with You from all the evil I have done. I acknowledge before You all the blessings You have bestowed upon me, and I confess to You all my sins. So I entreat You to forgive my sins, for nobody can forgive sins except You.[sahih al-Bukhari; 8,75,318, at-Tirmidhi; 3393, an-Nasa’i; 5522, Ahmad; 16662]

Shaddad ibn Aws (radiAllahu anhu) relates that the Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) said that he (Sayyid al-Istighfar) most superior way of asking for forgiveness from Allah is to say (the above du’a). That “If somebody recites it during the day with firm faith in it, and dies on the same day before the evening, he will be from the people of Paradise; and if somebody recites it at night with firm faith in it, and dies before the morning, he will be from the people of Paradise.”

Oh Allah!, I ask You for doing good

Allahumma inni as’aluka fi’lalkhairati, wa tarkal-munkarati, wa hubbal-massakeeni, wa idha ardta bi’ibaadika fitnahan faaqbidni illaiyka ghaira maftunin, bi Rahmatika, Ya ar-Hammar-Rahimeen.

(Oh Allah!, I ask You for doing good, and abandoning evils, and to love the poor. And when You wish to try Your servants, so draw me to Your presence without trial. By Your Mercy, Oh the Most Merciful of all that is Merciful.)
